
ABOUT
I'm Beatrice and I am a freelance multimedia journalist based in London.
I am experienced in working in a newsroom as news producer, live content curator news editor assistant and client liaison person and I am professionally trained for UGC gathering. I’ve also work as field reporter, filming, editing and producing news and long form videos.
I currently work for the Associated Press Television on several desks. My duties include working closely with the intake editors liaising with I am also one of the point person for UGC gathering, which means that in case of breaking news while I’m on shift I am in charge to lead the search of UGC videos of the whole AP worldwide.
Before my MA in International journalism at City University of London I had founded an online newspaper in Italy, InterNational Security Interest. The newspaper was the first in Italy exclusively focused on security and social affairs issues.I’ve founded the paper inspired from my BA studies in investigation and security sciences which have also helped me gaining an expertise in counter-terrorism issues.
In addition to INSI, I have also co-founded ICTYN, a hub of students and professionals in the field of security and counter-terrorism. ICTYN’s purpose is to promote networking and career opportunities and encourage the cooperation in research for its members. Recently ICTYN have launched NextGen 5.0, a think thank committed to inspire and empower young people in the security field.
